New and Exciting Things Are Happening!
Hey! I am so excited to start up our Winter session of piano and have some really exciting things happening this session.
My Music Software: I have purchased a subscription to an amazing software that will allow all of you to securely view your account balance, pay online, view a studio calendar, keep track of your child’s practicing, and even view notes from me about your child’s progress on their recital songs. This software will also send out reminder texts about group lesson, send out email reminders about payments, and more. It is such a great system and I am so excited to use it. I am asking that everyone please use this system as this is how you will be able to track everything that is happening with piano.
Binders: Every student will be given a binder (by the second week of lessons) where they will be able to store all of their sheet music that is printed out or is not in a book. It will also include a practice chart for them to keep track of how often they are practicing. As they keep track of their practicing they will be able to earn prizes. The binder will also have a sheet that will updated each week with what they are supposed to be practicing. This will replace any notebooks. If you are ever wondering what your child is supposed to be practicing, please check the binder.
Payment: As some of you may know I recently bought a house in North Salt Lake. Ideally I would love to begin teaching in North Salt Lake, but I love teaching each and every one of your students, that I couldn’t get myself to stop teaching in Murray. To help make up for my time and money in driving to Murray, along with the new easy convenience that this paid software is providing to everyone, and after researching the going rate for many piano teachers in Murray, I have decided that starting February 1st, my prices will be raising to $20 a lesson. I sincerely appreciate your support in this and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to me.
New Ways To Pay: Paying by check or cash at the first lesson of the month works great, but I thought I would give you all a new way to pay for convenience. My favorite way that some students have begun to use is Venmo. Venmo is an app that lets you pay others without adding a fee. Another option is PayPal. I have a PayPal account you may pay me through, but please remember to click the "Friends + Family" button so PayPal doesn't take out the money. You may also pay via Credit or Debit card through this website, but an added 5% charge will be added to help cover the cost of the fees associated with this option.
Reminders: I also felt with the start of the New Year it would be a good idea to review some of my old policies and procedures.
